Tips You can ripen a banana (and other fruit and veg) quickly by putting them in a paper or plastic bag with an apple or tomato.

  1. Bananas contain over 75% water.
  2. Why are Bananas curved? It’s because they grow towards the sun and against gravity. This is called Negative Geotropism.
